English pro Patrick Leonard shipped Event 2 $5,100 No-Limit Hold'em at the PokerGO Studio, securing his first title and a prize of $124,800 along with 250 PGT points.

CoinPoker ambassador Patrick Leonard claimed his first-ever PGT title in the $5,100 No-Limit Hold'em tournament for over $100K.

Just a day after achieving his first cash at the event, Leonard emerged victorious in Event 2 against Aram Zobian in a heads-up showdown.

Starting the final table with the lowest chip count, Leonard's fortunes changed dramatically when he returned from a brief break just in time to catch pocket aces an hour into play. This pivotal moment propelled him to the top of the chip leaderboard.

The action intensified as Chino Rheem held pocket tens and Sam Laskowitz had kings, leading to a pre-flop pot exceeding three million chips. Natalie Ferguson, with just over four big blinds, was also in contention.

The community cards revealed a jack-high board, resulting in Rheem finishing in seventh place for $19,200 and 38 PGT points. Following this hand, Leonard found himself in a tight three-way tie for the chip lead alongside Joey Weissman and Phenom Poker pro Joseph Cheong.

Ferguson, making her debut at a PGT final table, initially appeared poised for success after scoring a triple and pushing through with confidence.

However, she ultimately fell short in sixth place with a payout of $24,000 and 48 PGT points after flopping top pair with king-ten against Weissman’s ace-ten.

Laskowitz struggled to recover after running his kings into Leonard's aces but managed to ladder up before being eliminated in fifth place for $33,600 and 67 PGT points when Cheong’s king-nine out-flopped his king-queen.
The dynamics shifted further when start-of-day chip leader Weissman made an aggressive open shove covering the table four-handed. Both Leonard and Cheong called the bet. Weissman held ace-eight, while Leonard had ace-queen and Cheong boasted pocket jacks.

The board favoured Cheong, allowing him to take the chip lead while Leonard was left with only four big blinds.

Leonard quickly doubled up by out-flopping Weissman's pocket sevens with his queen-jack. Shortly thereafter, Weissman pushed all-in again from the small blind with king-eight but was met by Leonard's ace-king.

Despite an open-ended straight draw on the flop for Weissman, he could not improve further and exited in fourth place for $43,200 and 86 PGT points.

With the blinds escalating rapidly, Leonard began to extend his lead over both Zobian and Cheong. Zobian managed to double through Cheong with aces, leaving Cheong as the short stack.

Leonard then eliminated Cheong in third place for $57,600 and 115 PGT points when his queen-jack beat Cheong's queen-seven.

Entering heads-up play with a three-to-one chip advantage against Zobian, who had been battling as the short stack throughout much of the day, Leonard maintained control. Despite Zobian picking up some momentum early in heads-up play, he ultimately fell victim to an ill-fated call.

Holding a turned 3-pair against Leonard’s two pairs, Zobian was unable to escape elimination, finishing as the runner-up with $79,200 and 158 PGT points.
