Nick Schulman won the PokerGo Tour (PGT) High Roller for a sum of $283,050. This win further cements the American pro’s bid for the Poker Hall of Fame induction.
Nick Schulman once again grabbed headlines with his PGT High Roller victory. The pro scooped the title and had a payday of $283,050.
Schulman was riding high on the success of his bracelet win at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Paradise 2024. The pro nailed a bracelet in The Closer Turbo Bounty event for $145K.
Coming to the PGT High Roller, the tournament was no cakewalk, with 111 of poker's finest throwing their hats in the ring. Schulman had to navigate a final table that looked more like a who's who of poker, including Brazil's Joao Simao, Victoria Livschitz, and Bryce Yockey.
A Rollercoaster Ride to Victory
The final table action was nothing short of a thriller. Schulman and Simao went toe-to-toe early on, with Schulman pulling a gutsy move that backfired in a way that would have cost him the title.
The 6-time WSOP bracelet champion tried to bluff Simao off the nuts – a move that would make even the bravest players think twice. But Schulman isn't one to let a setback keep him down for long.
Showing the resilience of a true champion, Schulman clawed his way back into contention. He managed to double up not once, but twice, turning the tables on Simao. The final hand was a classic coin flip situation, with Schulman's jack-seven coming out on top against Simao's jack-deuce.
A Year to Remember
2024 has been Schulman's year, no doubt about it. He kicked things off by winning a $25,000 High Roller at the WSOP for over $1.6 million.

Hall of Fame 2025
With all these wins under his belt, it's no surprise that people are starting to talk about Schulman as a potential Poker Hall of Famer. He's got the bracelets, the tour titles, and the respect of his peers. Even poker icon Daniel Negreanu chimed in, saying Schulman ticks all the boxes for induction.
Of course, the competition for those coveted Hall of Fame spots is fierce. Scott Seiver, with his seven bracelets and Player of the Year title, is also in contention.
But if Schulman keeps up this blistering pace, it might not be long before we see his name enshrined among poker's greatest.
Whether he's at the table or in the commentary booth, Schulman continues to prove he's a force to be reckoned with in the poker world. With his recent hot streak, one thing's for sure – we'll be seeing a lot more of Schulman in winner's circles to come.
