Jared Bleznick has once again defeated Finnish poker pro Patrik Antonius in the second round of High Stakes Duel 5.

Round 2 of the High Stakes Duel 5 kicked off with Jared Bleznick and Patrik Antonius locking horns in a $100,000 buy-in game. The match, which became a closely watched game, saw Bleznick dominate the poker hall of famer.

Round 2 Dynamics

Unlike their previous encounter, this match unfolded dramatically from the beginning where Bleznick was seen seizing control within the first 15 minutes. The round 1 winner took the chip advantage further to ultimately beat Patrik once again.

A pivotal moment came early in the second hour, where Bleznick's PLO prowess was on full display: Bleznick played with Kings while his rival played with an AQ on a board of 2J10K2. This hand gave Bleznick a full house versus a straight that Patrik scored.

While Antonius mounted a brief comeback, narrowing the chip deficit to $60,000 against Bleznick's $140,000, the momentum remained firmly with Bleznick.

The Rematch For Round 3

Refusing to concede defeat, Antonius has immediately called for a third round, scheduled for November 26 at 8 p.m. ET (5 p.m. PT). The upcoming match promises even higher stakes, with $400,000 on the line. Poker fans can catch the live-streamed showdown exclusively on PokerGO.

What’s next?

As the poker community eagerly anticipates the third round, one question surely comes to mind: Can Antonius change the outcomes in the upcoming round after losing twice. One thing is guaranteed at the next match—intense poker action.
